The purpose of this handbook is to enable community based and lay providers to share knowledge and understanding about PrEP with key population clients (MSM and TGW). Topics include who should receive PrEP, service provision standards, HIV Counseling, risk assessment, assessment of PrEP readiness, PrEP Counseling, promoting PrEP adherence, service tracking and follow-up, and PrEP management. The Handbook Task Force hopes that this PrEP handbook will maximize the benefits of PrEP in reducing the rate if new HIV infections among key populations.
